Second House

The second house I owned was this two bedroom bungalow in Belfast. This was built in the twenties I think and it did not have cavity walls unfortunately. Also the walls are faced with pebble-dash. Apart from being very unfashionable the pebble-dash can create problems of damp by penetration as it simply acts like a sponge soaking up the rain. Allied to not having cavity walls this can be a problem. Fortunately this house did not have these problems to any great extent.
