Nisus Keyboard Short-Cuts

The word processors from Nisus have all had many wonderful features. A notable one is the keyboard short-cuts system. With this you can use a modifier key or keys and a series of regular keys as a short-cut. To actually use this short-cut then you hold down the modifier(s) and then press the regular keys in sequence.

Examples of key short-cuts I've set up
Command Short-Cut
Convert selected characters to UPPERCASE command-UPP
Convert selected characters to lowercase command-LOW
Show/hide invisible characters command-INV
Insert hyperlink command-IHL
Use indented paragraph style command-IND
Copy character attributes command-CCA
Copy ruler command-CR
Copy text only command-CTO
Copy to find command-CTF
Copy to replace command-CTR
Superscript command-SPS
Ruler units in inches command-RUIN
Show toolbar command-TB
Show tooldrawer command-TD

Although any modifiers could be used I always used command because there is so much available when using a sequence of alphanumeric keys that I didn't find any need to use the other modifier keys.

A difference between Nisus Writer classic and the new Nisus Writer for OS X is that with the classic program you were limited to only three alphanumeric keys but with the OS X program you can have as many alphanumeric keys as you like.

With the old Nisus Writer classic I created 186 keyboard short-cuts using this system. I had no problem remembering them because a series of letters can be made very memorable.
